Dubrovnik Airport (DBV): The Cross-Border Route
Dubrovnik's flight network dwarfs both Montenegrin airports combined. The catch: Dubrovnik is in Croatia. The reward: a two-hour E65 coast drive to the Bay of Kotor.
After collecting your car, the road heads south-east through the Konavle valley to the Debeli Brijeg border. Once through, the highway descends into Herceg Novi and traces the bay shoreline to Kotor.
A Green Card must be in the glovebox. We arrange this at booking.
The Debeli Brijeg Queue
July and August: one to two hours. Weekday mornings before 08:00 and evenings after 20:00 are lightest. The inland Konfin crossing is quieter. See our rental car border crossing guide for documentation and wait times.
About DBV
The terminal sits in Cilipi, 25 minutes from Dubrovnik's Old Town.
Bureau de change, duty-free, cafes, rental desks, taxi ranks, and bus connections.

The Drive to Kotor
Allow two hours plus border time. At Kamenari, a car ferry crosses the strait in five minutes, saving a long loop.
The final approach to Kotor: mountains vertical from the water, the bay narrowing, fortress walls on the cliff face.
